Beer Alert: Session

This doesn't have anything to do with BMX, but WTH- it says "session" on the label. I've sessioned stuff like banks, ramps, ditches, jumps etc.
I have noticed Session Lager in the stores from time to time as I was picking up other "supplies" and always passed on it. A couple weeks ago I finally broke down and tried it out. Holy crap, please do yourself a favor and buy some of this beer. Even if you don't like beer. Or even if you like beer but only buy Premium. Or even if you like beer but the courts say you don't like beer. Whatever the reason, buy some. It's good stuff, something that everyone could like.
I am not going to get into it having a nutty character with sweet undertones or some crap like that. It's beer for cripes sake: buy it, drink it and listen to your old Sugar albums when you do.

Stay tuned to All The Racing for all your Minnesota Racing needs!
Not indoors at Rehbeins, but it's the only shot of me racing I had handy.

Faction BBQ Slideshow 2008

Faction BBQ 2008!!!

Travis W at the controls
RIGHT ON EVERYONE!
Now THAT was one heck of a day! It rained off and on and for a couple moments at the end I thought we were going to have to build a raft.
Major major MAJOR props to all the people that made it out to this years BBQ. To think that in 2005 the Faction started as about 15 guys riding a ramp and Smitty donating stuff outta his own shop and to see it grow into this is simply amazing. We've since grown to 50+ members and with every gathering we just get bigger. And talk about great attitudes! I don't recall ONE person complaining about the rain!!! Hardcore!
I also have to take my hat off to this years sponsors, old school BMX is alive in well in their hearts:
VintageBMX.com

There will be a special blog post with the awards and winners this week, due to the rain we had to bail outta the park FAST!!!
HUGE Faction thank you to: Ditchweed (secretary of transportation), Bill Sympson (skilz contest and killer awards), Peter Quamme (turntables and grillz) and Paul Smith (awards) for all their support... and Bill Anstedt. Bill A stepped up HUGE this year, running the show at the park, getting stuff set up and keeping everything 100% rocking. My hats off to you.
I had a great time BSing with everyone, checking out the bike and most off all RIDING. At the past BBQ's I was usually running around doing stuff, but with Bill taking the controls I was able to ride and have a great time. What a BLAST!
Do you have pics to share? Email me a link (or attach them) and I'll post 'em up! minnesotafaction at gmail.com
Jeff Tollefson has a nice writeup on his site...

More soon...
